NEC VL260 Desktop PC

NEC launched their latest slim tower and stylish NEC POWERMATE VL260 Desktop PC, which has a range of unique features. This new Black coloured PC developed by NEC has been mainly recommended for corporate business or small business. Hard drive capacity of this desktop PC is 80GB and hard drive type used is Serial ATA-300 which has a speed of 7200 rpm. It has a 3.5” floppy drive with a 1.44MB floppy.

Intel Pentium 4 650 processor is used in this desktop PC review which has a processing speed of 3.4 GHz. 64-bit computing is provided in this PC and maximum supporting quantity is 1 and the installed quantity is also one. Cache memory type used is L2 Cache and the installed cache memory is 2 MB. Chipset type used is Intel 945GZ Express and the data bus speed is 800 MHz. Optical storage type used is CD-RW / DVD-ROM combo-IDE with a read speed of 48x and write speed of 48 x and CD / DVD rewrite speed of 24x.

Installed RAM size is 1 GB and it is expandable up to a maximum of 2 GB. RAM technology used in this device is DDR II SDRAM - non-ECC and the memory speed is 533 MHz. Configuration feature installed in this PC is one which has a 1 GB. Storage controller interface type used is Serial ATA-300 integrated. Secondary controller used is IDE integrated.

Integrated graphics controller is used in this desktop PC and Intel GMA 950 graphics processor is used. Max allocated Ram size for graphics is 224 MB. Dynamic video memory technology 3.0 is the video memory used in this PC. Integrated sound card is used in this and the compliant standard supported is AC’97. Mouse and keyboard are the two input device provided with NEC VL260 Intel Desktop PC. The dimensions of this PC are 10 cm x 40.7 cm x 34.8 cm (W x D x H). Keyboard interface used is PS/2. The mouse technology supported is optical technology with scroll on feature. Integrated PCI Express Network adapter is used and Realtec RTL 8111B is Ethernet controller. Data link protocols are Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet. Wake on LAN feature is also included in this device.

Security lock slot, administrator password, system password, chassis intruction detection, anti-theft ring are the security features supported by this NEC desktop PC. Power provided is 220 watt and the voltage required is AC 120/230 V. The Operating system and the software provided are Microsoft Windows XP Professional, McAfee Managed VirusScan ASaP (90 days subscription), NEC Instant Recovery, Recovery CD are the software’s provided with this PC. Sound emission of the unit is 30 dBA and maximum operating temperature is 35 degree Celsius. The company offers a 3 year warranty for this product.
